Re: PDF2XY: need help.

Friends.

Patricia. Early in 2005 you had a series with Robert finding in the
end that the batch file you'd been using pulled Gswin32c.exe off the
path. I learned from that and set my execution of pdf2xy having
learned from it; yet I still have the result I reported in this
thread: an infinitely scrolling screen of LFN.TMP exists (plus a line
identifying my %comspec% from my batch procedure for loading XY, which
includes the line echo Shell=%_shell). The appearance of this appears
to me to be the result of a 'dos/nv/x/z' command looping--a guess.

Robert. By your suggestions, opened a small text file (test.txt) in
XY; issued 'xy2pdf test ;the process ended by opening
'test.pdf' in GSVIEW. This file openable in Acrobat v.5.0 as well.
After issuing 'pdf2xy c:\xy4\test.pdf' (or another legal usage, ie,
filename under cursor in a dir listing) and witness the same behavior
as before (the scrolling loop). In case it helps, I set the path for
my W98 session in autoexec.bat to include gswin32c.exe and the echo
shell command, another to turn off caps lock, and that's it--straight
into W98 and XY fullscreen.

Thank you both for your help with this.
