Is there any possibility of linking you BBS up to Fidonet? If you did, it would
make it possible to have an international XyWrite help conference on Fidonet,
which would be accessible in many countries by a local call. Also, it would be
possible to read and reply to messages offline, and upload them as a file, with
error correction, thus obviating disruptions caused by line noise.
Alternatively, is there any possibility that you might be able to install an
offline reader, such as Silver Xpress? That could also save a bit of money on
phone bills, and make replies to messages easier.
