" Myron:
" A couple of thoughts re your directory change frame:
" -> {{5,book}}
" -> [ASCII-2][BX]cd c:\book[Q2][ASCII-2]
" If your hard disk is partitioned into logical drives, you'll want to
" precede the CD command with a statement that logs on to the
" appropriate drive:
" [BX]c:[Q2][BX]cd c:\book[Q2]
" If you do a lot of jumping around between directories (and who
" doesn't?), do yourself a favor and get VCD! This shareware classic
" lets you change to any 8.3 directory on any drive by supplying a
" fragment of the directory name. So, if you want to go to
" G:\USERDOCS\CURRENT\BKLENGTH\BOOKS\BOOK2\CHAPTER3 and you're
" currently in C:\BOOK, you'd issue, say, VCD G:3. Bingo, you're
" there. If no directory contains the exact fragment, VCD presents a
" list of near matches; cursor down to the desired directory and hit
" Enter. Immensely useful.
" You can download VCD at XyWWWeb. It runs seamlessly from the Xy
" CMline via a Jumbo U2 frame (also called VCD).

WCD, is a fast directory changer (another Norton Change Directory clone)
for DOS, Windows and Unix. This program jumps to a directory anywhere
in the directory-tree. The directory to jump to can be given by only
the first characters or a regular expression.

Features:
 - Let the user choose in case of multiple match
 - Wildcards *, ? and [SET] supported
 - Subdir definition possible. Eg. wcd subdira/subdirb
 - Long directory-names support in Win95/98 Dosbox
 - Add directories without scanning
 - Alias directories
 - Ban paths
 - Directory stack, push pop
 - Free portable source-code (DOS 16/32 bit, Cygwin, Unix)
 - Supports: DOS 16/32 bit, djgpp bash
  Windows 9x/NT Cygwin bash
  Unix csh, ksh and bash

Wcd has been tested on: FreeDOS, MS-DOS 6.2, Win95, Win98, Win NT,
FreeBSD, Linux, HP-UX, SunOS, Solaris, SGI IRIX.

Special requirements: None.

Changes: Environment variable WCDHOME overrides HOME. Improved choosing
from list (DOS versions). Improved manpage. Mode bits for new
directory created with -m option are now only defined by umask.

wcd227bs.zip has replaced wcd225bs.zip.
