My non-negotiable features are:

- Compatibility with XyWrite 4 customization files, including U2
- Solid XPL engine compatible with Xy4 XPL
- Ability to run external programs via the DOS command (essential!)
- Portability (not quite non-negotiable, but almost)

I could be in for $500, possibly more, depending on how this shapes up.
