As someone who has been flamed (Hi Rene :)) repeatedly for the unwitting
inclusion of HTML attachments in Outlook e-mails, I can sympathise with the
AOL folk. My solution was never, ever to reply to any e-mails to the
XyWrite group, but rather to paste the address details into my address
book, then to cut and paste whatever details I wanted to carry over into a
NEW e-mail, and to specify in the details next to the address in my address
book NEVER to send in HTML.

There might be a similar workaround for AOL.
