CALLSAME.PM

David Auerbach (on whom be peace, if only because we Smithians should never
fall out) read my 5-10-99
>> Just incidentally, does anyone besides me value the ability to have a

>> have to do this so often that I've written a macro called CALLSAME.PM

and asked

Just so. As I said, CALLSAME.PM is modeled on Tyson's RUNSAME.PM, and its
_only_ virtue is that it saves keystrokes. If the file in question (say,
NIMBYISM) has been called up from directory \EVT\LETTERS\NEWSPAPR\GUARDIAN,
but I'm now working in VILLAGE\NEWSLETR\CURRENT\EDITRIAL, I prefer to hit
   F12+B, Y
rather than
   F5, CA \EVT\LETTERS\NEWSPAPR\GUARDIAN\NIMBYISM, F9.
(And I'm less likely to mis-key the former.)

Indeed, while we're extolling the virtues of Xy, one of them is that
customizing is easy enough to be worth doing for even the most trivial of
objectives.

Cheers

PS: Then I read Brother Auerbach's other response to my other posting of
5-10-99. He's absolutely right: a custom-made undelete won't be difficult,
and I'll get down to it this weekend.

PPS: Then I read Carl DiStefano's latest, and it took no time at all to
improve CALLSAME.PM as he advises.
