When I installed my version (4.17) under DOS, not only did I have to REM out the CD drive, but also the smartdrv and other disc-caching utilities. Try getting your config and autoexec to bare bones (just a path statement, a files and a buffers statement) and see what happens. Tim jloud@xxxxxxxx
