I'm close to certain that I must have a working copy of XyWin archived somewhere (even if it's on an old Zipdrive disk, or something like that), in case I ever wanted to take another look at it.  Just wondering if that edition was ever stored at Brian's XyWrite.Com site.  I should probably check on that.

  I cannot answer your question, as the fonts I uses are or the ones
  supplied with Xy4 and the ones I have in Windows. No need for me to
  use Postscript fonts, and I never used them.

  But now I realize what "intractable problems" can be.
