OK, I see the bug -- that is, I can reproduce it by running COMP
against your test files. It's mysterious that it always appears in
the one location but nowhere else. If there is an error in COMP, I
can't find it; perhaps Robert can (it's his code). I have a hunch,
though, that the problem may more deeply embedded in Editor itself
-- perhaps a bug in funcs FD and FM.
