I have encountered two control code problems that I have been unable to solve,
even after reading your excellent CTRLCHAR file. Perhaps you can help. (1)
Can one search for footnotes by number? All I can presently do is count
occurences of FN until the desired number is reached. (2) I'm having trouble
parsing the soft hyphen ~. I can search, replace, etc. But, when I
≪xs1,2,3,4,5≫, where 2=~ , my program bombs. What to do? Thanx.
