Alan,

There is a brief but succinct explanation of XyWrite's use of EMS
on page 2-34 of the XyWrite 4 Command Reference guide.  However,
the information in the manual is dated, and I will be glad to
provide you with the latest. XyWrite, as of version 4.015, can
address up to 16 mb of EMS. Unfortunately it does not make use
of XMS (unless of course your XMS is configured as EMS). EMS's
primary function in XyWrite is that it allows for the entire
document, or certainly a large portion of it to be held in memory
rather than constantly being read from the disk.
