The point about DOS vs. Windows printer drivers is that DOS programs had
to write their own drivers for each printer model as they came out, a
painful process XuWrite did till it moved to XyWin and could use canned
drivers that came with each printer. Any driver that comes with a
printer is a general driver for the operating system, which you allow
your program to utilize. Xy3+ isn't a Windows program and so can't use
such a driver--you have to find the DOS driver supplied by XyWrite/TTG
that works with your printer model or one your model emulates (such as
HPDJ or HPLJ models, a near universal standard), or tweak a driver for a
similar printer.

You can use a compatible Xy driver from the DOS days, or pick up a used
HP or even Epson for which someone can send you the driver if you don't
have it. Or, as has been suggested, print from XyWin using the Windows
driver provided for your Stylus on the Windows install disk.
