Yes, Miss Harmond, our fifth-grade teacher, impressed upon us those e-i
exceptions with ther phrase "Neither foreign financier seized either
specie of weird leisure."
Now, after umpteen years, I wonder who the foreign financiers were, and
what those leisures might be.
