You can do that more economically (just one Save/Get + faster/smaller code)

Oh, wow! That is indeed more efficient and more
elegant. (And I had been patting myself on the back for

I see you added a WAIT command. Interesting. Even on my
slowest machine (a K6/2, running at 333 MHz) I hadn't
run into any problems without it. But I rarely have
anything else open when running Xy--especially on that
system. (Well, the two laptops are even slower, but I
don't think I ever ran this on them.)

Apropos of Wait, does anyone know what those "temporary
files" created by the conversion filters are called?
Any consistent extension? I have a routine that
converts Xy data files to WP, using the Hungarian
filters, but it's something of a kludge, using a batch
file that has to be run outside of Xy because it
includes that "WAIT a few seconds for conversion to
delete temp files
pause"
command. If one could give a filemask for those temp
files, I think one could include the call to the batch
file with DOS/NV, and use AwaitDel, no?

Anyway, I have revised another program that used much
the same technique, so as to take advantage of your
much more efficient method (and added "Rev. by RH, 9/14/06" to the documentation label). Many, many thanks.
