i am now running xydos4.017 in a dos emulator (called dosemu) under
linux. xywrite runs incredibly fast this way, and seems to work well
except for a few keystrokes that i have yet to fool with. [the
suggestion that surfaced recently of renaming the tables might help.]
i did not set dosemu up myself -- that process is definitely not for the faint
of heart -- but had one of the wonderful wizards around here do it.
