Re: tame dos

I put Tame dos into my toshiba a few days ago, and I'm not sure whether I am
happy or not. It works, and seems to reduce memory usage, but I wonder
whether it's worth the cost.
It didn't have a setup file, even though the instructions imply that there
should be one. I don't seem to have any control over the size of the
window -- I can shrink it side to side with the cursor, but up and down it
does what it wants. When I open xy, it always uses a very wide box.
I don't like the type, and I don't see any way to change it. When I try to
change the size of the window, it changes the type size with it.

The tame "support" doesn't answer my questions.
I think I got the V version of Tame -- not the latest. Does anyone know if the later versions are better? I chose the earlier one because someone suggested it, and because my experience is that the later versions of programs are not often better than the early ones.
I know some people in this group think tame is worth using -- but are there
other points of view? Would a setup file help, if I could find one -- and
does anyone have one?
