Carl, it could be that COURBD is similar, but the one pictured is a freeware Courier font called Courier Prime which I modified -- haphazardly, since I know nothing about font design -- to get it to work with vDos, having used it formerly (without modification) in NB9.  You can also print with it, though not with the HP driver method.


I tried lots of monospaced fonts; I think this one is the most readable, at least if you match the lines per page correctly with the display size of the screen or window (trial and error).  HP's Dark Courier and another called Courier10BT (also modified) aren't bad, if you find the sweet spot -- but not as good, I'd say.

Very nice, John. So crisp and clear. I have that font here (as 
COURBD); I'm going to try it for a while.

BTW, I did a "wedding invitation" variant on your color scheme, using 
the values (and with the results) shown in the attached screen shot.
