Re: XYWEB120 - BIGEDIT.EXE

I ditched Webroot years ago, (for the PC --I don't know what's available on the Mac side), then later on AVG over some bad releases and an excess of false positives.  Avast! is what I have been using more recently, but they've had some not-so-good changes over the last couple major versions and lost out in product segment comparisons recently, so Avira may be what I go to next.  I was done with McAfee and Norton even before Webroot -- won't be going back to them.

This has been previously reported on the list as a false positive with some
antivirus programs.

Subject: XYWEB120 - BIGEDIT.EXE

I run XyWrite on a Mac.  My virus checker (Webroot SecureAnywhere)
continually reports "XYWEB120/BIGEXIT.EXE" as a threat.  SecureAnywhere is
set to check for Windows viruses as well as Mac viruses.

I cannot see the entire threat name, but it is shortened as "W32.T.n.Gen".

Is there a problem with BIGEDIT??
