Re: Using XyWrite file in Word and saving as text document

I am certain that I don't know more than most people on
this list about how XY4 operates (in fact, I likely know
less), but I have absolutely no difficulty sending a XY4
file to MSWord. I do it regularly when I have to send
something to a publisher. It's simple. I have a full
complement of filters in my filters directory and I issue
the command sa/rtf on the command line, using the keys to
invoke a macro. They invokes the U2 macro, and voila. I
get the file XY42RTF.RTF in my XY4 directory. I rename it
and send it to my MSWord directory. I call it up in MSWord,
and save it as a MSWord document. It could not be easier. No
tweaking required. Everything is perfect, including the
footnotes and/or endnotes. I don't know if this is of any help,
but if it is, then I am pleased to have been of some assistance.
If not, then forgive me for buttying in. M.W. Poirier
