I think that's basically correct, Carl, but one may need to stay alert.  MS is sneakily trying to back-migrate certain things to 7 & 8, including re-releasing and renaming certain patches.  Some are apparently designed to "upgrade" you to 10 while you're not paying close attention.

And there's a lot more where this came from.  I'm on "Notify Me" only status re 7 patches, checking them out carefully in advance, rejecting several.
