save get question

Yet another dumb question;
To save, I always use CM sa
But that clears the command line, where I might want to keep some other
command. So I'd like to invoke a "blind" save
command from a saveget key, for instance, alt S. How would I take the
command BC (sa) and get it into a saveget? Amazing how much one forgets!
