PS re poking keystrokes: I should have added that the key (so to speak) is to poke a keystroke that *DOS* recognizes. I was trying to poke in F15 and it wasn't working -- though it does work in XyWrite running under virtual (or actual) Windows. Changed it to a key in the 0-104 scan-code range and Bob's my uncle-- Carl Distefano cld@xxxxxxxx
