Nah. EMS is just for spelling and some overlays, e.g. in Ibid. This overflow
file is disk-based. But it still has to be read in and out of memory, and it can
only grow so large.

Why is that a bug? It's just the limit. The maximum memory space Xy can handle.
A known quantity & behavior. We take it or we leave it.
