To do this, I "tys" ("type to screen") my file in XyWrite, and save
the resultant REVIEW.TMP file. According to the RM margin you put in
the original file, you get hard returns at the end of each line.

You do have to remove the ≪MDNM≫ at the start of the file as well as
the page separators inserted by tys, though. I wrote a macro to do
this, as manual editing for long REVIEW.TMP files is somewhat
bothersome.
