So, what you're saying is that you can't print at 14 point -- right? Because
CGTimes is a built-in DJ font, and the only point size available (on the
660C) that's larger than 12 point is 14 -- right or wrong on the 682C? What do the
682C specs say? For the record, 14 point works fine here -- I just tested on 660C.

But why limit yourself to internal fonts? Why not
throw XyWrite into IMage mode (D IM=1), and use your Speedos? You can print them
at virtually any point size up to 36 or 48 points or something huge.
Dutch is the equivalent of CGTimes, and you have a 909 character set instead of
just 256... I just printed out 18 point Dutch texts on our 660C, and they
look great. ANY old DJ printer file ought to work for that; you don't need an
updated HPDJ .PRN file to get IMage mode working! Sizes are scalable and hence far
more flexible. The only place where you get into trouble (that I've discovered) is
ColumnTables. XyWrite seems to have a lot of difficulty rasterizing a ColumnTable
(that's what IMage mode is: rasterization, i.e. sending characters to the printer
as graphical images). Probably long files are going to generate immense FO.TMP
files too... But, hey, nobody buys a DJ for quality; we buy them because they're
dirt cheap, and then live with the compromises. They do pretty well, everything
considered.
