Manuel--

I think I followed your suggestion, i.e., went to the Xywweb section on
Word-4-Word; downloaded and unzipped the 2 Hungarian files; then, as directed
on page 3 of the Word-4-Word instructions for converting from Word to Xy,
saved my excel file as Word 6.0/95.

After that point, I think the instructions and I may have parted company, to
wit:

[1] when I issue the conversion commands from DOS, do I use a C: prompt or a
XY4\filters prompt?

[2] the file I want to convert is named hosprank.
when I issue the first conversion command, I am not sure what it is I am
supposed to be typing:
   W4W49F.EXE MSWord_source_hosprank.doc /N /V0*
or am I supposed to have more of a path in there? Same with the
second conversion command.

   * is this supposed to be a zero or an oh?

At any rate, no new file has been created in Xywrite.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
