Re: XP/Vbox/Win 8.1

Difficult to say, I haven't direct access to the files in my Win7 shares
either from Xywrite. But if you can browse your Win8 files from the
virtual machine, you can always drop them onto a shortcut pointing to
Editor.exe (not directly onto Editor.exe as the shortcut establishes a
running environment for the program, e.g. directory information). So
instead of calling your files just drop them onto the editor.exe shortcut.

Going back to the lack of directories for the host drive, I think there is a good chance this is due to my ignorance of networking technology and I wonder if you have any suggestions for a checklist of correct network settings on VBox and more importantly the host system. Keep in mind that I did not install XP from scratch in this instance, but simply employed someone's pre-existing image, which could have any number of unknown and scarcely knowable problems. So that is something I need to investigate further.
