You are mixing two things here. Stripping the XY codes is easy -- you can
roll your own .pgm in a couple of seconds for that; basically just a
"cia /≪W≫//" line.
The e-mail.prn is a printer file that delivers a text file with hard
returns. You don't need to go to secret places to get that; it should be in
your original XYwrite package (called "strip.prn" I believe).
