Invoking the MEmory screen, then "A"borting it, is a simple device to
consolidate DOS memory and release some numbers of Kbytes (more often than not,
a mere 4 or 5K, but sometimes several hundred K). Since you may need that
extra memory when you shell to DOS and perform some external operation,
obviously you want to consolidate beforehand.
