Chapter 10 in Using Computer Bulletin Boards by John Hedtke (MIS:Press) (which I got at Waldens - I think) is on Setting Up Your Own BBS (about 22 pages). I don't know if it is any good, but it has some intriguing subheads i.e. "Making Money with your BBS"!
