Re: conversion filters

Bill --

I bought XY4 mostly for the conversion filters.  Unfortunately, while they are fairly good converting from another word processor's format into XY3 or 4, they are hopeless converting in the opposite direction.  Typical output was one line per page.  Altho the text itself was accurate, the recipient (typically my staff) went nuts trying to deal with the one line per page output.  I ended up purchasing a good stand-alone conversion filter programme, which has also been licensed by some of the word processor producers.

I get reasonably good results using the filters that came with Lotus' WordPro, which was packaged with one of my computers.  If you would like a contact for my stand-alone, write to me at mailto:fredric.gross@xxxxxxxxfredric.gross@xxxxxxxx.

Subject: conversion filters

Is there somewhere I can download a few of the conversion filters that work
with Xy4? I think if I just had to and from rtf I'd be OK. I find myself
having to work with Word 2000. I find I really don't like composing text in
MS Word. That white screen shining out at you and giving you eyestrain,
that those scrawny little letters -- ugh!
