Re: autosave

When I lose something like that, I search my hard drive for the latest
files. It could be renamed, and it could be somewhere in some unexpected
directory.

I use ZTree, which is an XTree clone for Windows 95.

You should be able to use Windows Find Files, and search for the last day's
files.

Another way to find the file would be to use a DOS command like dir /s
>save.tmp from the directory. Then open the file in XyWrite and search for
"03-11-98".

Look for a file with a funny name.

In Win3.1 I used to run checkdisk. I occasionally found lost files that
way. I don't know if Win95 has anything like that.

Somebody else may have a better suggestion.
