I believe so: it stuck in my mind because Nov. 8 was the latest date
that Bob Metcalfe (of Ethernet, 3COM, & InfoWorld) had confidently
designated for total meltdown of the Internet.
Metcalfe & Frank consult the cloudy crystal ball in the same way --
over & over.
However, as I type Nov. 8 on the Pacific Coast still has 6 hours to
go.
