Re: Windows 7, again

John,

I have tried most of the virtual machines on Windows 7 64 bit and found that each was slight too cumbersome. But of the lot, I like Parallels Desktop the best. However, what worked for me was to install Windows 7 32 bit, which runs XyWrite just the way XP did. Many installations come (or used to) with a 32 bit version, which means no shelling out for another OS.

I have dual boot between 32 and 64--but I haven't booted into the 64 bit OS for about two months.

There is also the possibility of switching to NotaBene 10. I have found that to be, for me, rather rocky (but doable).

Hi, I'm new to this group, but a veteran XyWriter. I suppose this question has been asked a thousand times: how do I get editor.exe running under Windows 7 64bit? I've tried the various compatibility settings without success. A quick browse of your archives didn't immediately turn up an answer. One more time, please...
