The whole point of this thread was an explanation of the way to get something copied from a GUI environment into Xy. Which means you'd have to be viewing the GUI (Windows)...and that means the taskbar also.

If you're running Xywrite DOS full screen, there is no taskbar.  All you
see is the Xywrite screen, just as you would if you were running Xy on a
DOS machine (if there are any of these left . . . )  The taskbar is part of
the Windows environment, and you don't have it when you run a DOS app full
screen in Windows (or OS/2 for that matter).

Maybe there's some confusion here about what "full screen" means.  In my
understanding, it means that "Full Screen" is checked in the properties
dialog.  In that case, the entire screen is taken over by the DOS
application.
