colors of modes in display

In Nota Bene 3 I have a recollection that there was a macro or file or command or utility that you could run or invoke that was called dd.run or run.dd or some variation like that.  What it did was create a chart showing what was the actual color that was generated by the numeric code that you would insert in the template for assigning colors on the screen to various modes such as normal text, selected text, underscore, bold, italics in both normal and selected text. Each number was colored the actual color that was invoked by typing the number in question. Is there such macro or command or utility or file for xywrite and if there is not is it possible to create such macro or command or utility or file for xywrite.  I remember that it was very helpful.
