As far as I know, XyWrite doesn't have its own API, so you can't ask
it to perform an operation from within another program.

I suspect it would be an awful lot of work and would end up as jut
another Java editor.

More interesting perhaps, at least as an academic exercise, would be a
XyWrite server. One would telnet to it and see the XyDos screen within
the telnet client. That would provide a truly cross-platform XyWrite.
All rather pie in the sky though.
