GENERAL BOATING NEWS

Lower Water Levels Expected For The Great Lakes Basin
Water levels this summer on lakes Huron, Michigan, St. Clair and Erie are
expected to be below average and lower than they were last summer. The
levels of these lakes have dropped over the past four years as a result of
warmer temperatures and increased evaporation from the lakes and the
surrounding land.

BOATERS JOURNALS

Resisting That Maniac Urge
Allow a savage tar (from Widener Law) who plies the waters of Raritan Bay
out to the North Atlantic in an 18 ft Nordkapp kayak in 25 knot winter
winds, 29 degree ice laden sea water and weather that leaves no room for
error have a word with ye mateys..especially those fools and maniacs who
have too much money, not a lick of common sense, zero by way of ability to
navigate, know nothing whatsoever of weather, whose only desire is to open
up the throttle and make large wakes and loud noises... while your kids
sit on the foredeck sans life jackets.
