Re: vDOS success... but no LFN

Harry,

With regard to making use of vDos-lfn's LFN facility in XyWrite, see
my post from 15 May '16:

http://www.freelists.org/post/xywrite/LFNtoSFN-conversion-in-vDoslfn

The latest release of U2 makes use of vDos-lfn's LFN capability (when
vDos-lfn is the environment) in frames LCA, LRE, and LCD (CAll, REad
or ChDir to LFN). The advantage is speed; using 4DOS to do the
LFN-to-SFN conversion is faster than shelling out to Windows. The guts
of the conversion is done in frame 4SFN50, which constructs a 4DOS
batch file. These frames expand on the PULL DIR technique
that Wengier mentioned.
