Re: New version of VirtualBox

Thanks for that, Kari.  No links included in your post, but I'll find it.  Haven't kept up with this at all, so I don't even know if Apache is still the owner of record for Virtualbox.  I have some virtual scenarios I may need to accommodate for others, mainly involving much older apps that were running under XP.  Since the apps may no longer be installable, it could be that that GO virtual solution you mentioned to me earlier -- for an entire installed OS and everything installed under it -- might be the more appropriate answer.  If that really works, the one issue I can foresee is the differences in hardware support drivers, as between the original desktop system home of that environment and some later, much different hardware.  Hopefully there are ways to resolve that.

Subject: New version of VirtualBox

Hello,

There is a new version of VirtualBox for those who run W2K setups or
want to try Win10 tech preview, namely version 5. Windows 2000 support
has improved somewhat: drag-and-drop now works from host to guest and
there is better scaling support for hi-res displays.

Remember to update the Guest Additions to the same version of VirtualBox
(Devices, Insert Guest Additions CD Image).

Best regards,

Kari Eveli
