" Dear NBers:
"
" We have had lots of requests for an RTF conversion filter, and much has also
" been said on the list about the need for filters to convert databases from
" other bibliographic managers to Ibidem.
"
" Dorothy Day said in an e-mail to me that she thinks that an RTF filter is
" "the single most important thing that could be added now to NB5." As most
" of you know, we provide conversion filters to/from most word processors as
" part of NBWin. These filters are licensed from ACII (WordPort) and they
" unfortunately do not include RTF. I am pleased to inform you that we have
" recently decided to write our own RTF filter and one of our programmers is
" now working on this task. We expect to provide this as a free upgrade when
" it is complete.
"
" We also are aware of the need for filters to convert other bibliographic
" databases to Ibidem. While we are not working on this now, we are talking
" about how and when we can allocate the resources to this important task. I
" hate to promise a time-frame, but I'll keep you informed.
"
" Thanks to all for your continuing interest and support.
