I should add that the
usage for this routine is not self-evident;

you really need to read the Help screen (HELP
BIGCHG).


Yes, I did that. It took me to the place in .INF where it says:

{bigchg} H Search & replace long strings
(UserVar)


Why does it sometimes do this? Then I have to search again (what's on the
CMline is not the search string) for BIGCHG.


I did look over the help-section on BIGCHG, and I modestly suggests it
could profit from examples of usage. One of the great things about U2's
help files is its frequent use of examples.




Basically, the way it
works is that you first save the replacement

string (the new material) to Save/Get K. (If you don't like S/G
K,


What's not to like? Some of my best friends are S/G K's.
