nine windoiws and less

I wrote this when Carl was away, and Robert suggested that he is the best person to to solve this programming query.

I have created the program below which emables me to open all the windows at one time from
the log2003.lg file. However, for this program to work when there is less than nine files, I have
to add a dummy file name at the end. Is there another way to accomplish this without doing this?
I believe Va$fe (file end) combined with Va$wa may be aboe to accomplish this.

By the way I have just come back from Cape Town after spending two weeks there, and was startled when I had to read through 93 XyWrite e-mails, and also to hear the somewhat distressing news that Robert is retiring, but with all the work that he has put into this newsgroup, it is quite understandable.
