HP5 driver

Has anyone had any luck with finding or writing a printer driver that works
with the new HPLJ5 and XyWrite 4.017?
TTG says it has no plans to write such a driver. The TTG sysop says the old
HP4 driver supports the new printer, save for some fancy paper handling
routines. Extensive tests show, however, that the HPLJ4 produces only
gibberish. The postscript HP4 does work. But it does not support my
collection of Speedo fonts.
How is the company going to prosper and grow, Ken, if you won't spend
resources on supporting a new generation mainstream $900 laser printer?
