Carl -- Thanks for the hands-up and replay of instructions. All duly installed in my addressbook for future reference. My interest in XYWrite, apart from wistful nostalgia for its distinct merits*, will now be mainly if I ever get around to organizing or copying those of my archives still in XYWrite. There may not be time in this lifetime (turned 80 last fall), given all the other priorities, but I was never good at pruning out favorite things...

*I have especially mourned loss of the fast and easy APPEND function, and do not understand why it never joined other industry standards. I don't suppose there is a macro for that for Word or OpenOffice, my current WP...
