Re: Ibid./Orbis

Yeah, I have EXACTLY the same problem!!!!! If I try to run ORBIS under OS/2,
the whole editing session crashes.

It's even worse.... when running under DOS I also find that ORBIS does not work
as promised! I tried setting up a text base of files I use in my consulting
business. Nothing real fancy, mind you: just a text base of fifty or so simple
documents. ORBIS keeps reporting that it fails to create the index or that the
index is empty when I try to access the text base. Then, when I try to Exit
orbis, XyWrite crashes and I have to reboot.

You can imagine who EAGERLY I anticipate trying to get IBID to work. As a
person who does academic style writing for a living, I could really USE IBID in
my daily work. But I'm not at all certain I'll end up throwing the damned thing
away like I did with ORBIS! This, after 18 months of delay, and after TTG took
my money.

If I didn't like XyWrite so much I'd say the hell with it and switch to Ami
Pro.
