Re: A possible fix for vDosXy3

Whilst possible fixes are being discussed, I have
always had a minor problem on my laptop (Dell XPS
15, late 2013): when pressing one of the
multimedia keys (FUNC+F2 or F3, for example, to
raise and lower volume), vDOS causes XyWrite IV
to write a letter (for example, c or b). This is
a minor annoyance indeed, but it probably ought
to be addressed. I must admit I am still happily
using the version of 12-15-14, so perhaps this has already been dealt with.

Happy New Year to the list. I came across a curious minor problem with vDosXy3, and I wonder if Peter might consider a fix for it.
An abbreviation-expander program called PRD+
uses the key sequence , (
twice, that is) to bring up its menu. This
sequence doesnâ¬"t work at all in vDos; it works
in vDosXy3 1.0; but it doesnâ¬"t work in vDosXy3 1.1.
But in vDosXy3 1.0, CapsLock doesnâ¬"t seem to
work, although it does work in 1.1. So a PRD+
users has to choose between accessing the menu or using CapsLock, but not both.
Is there is any hope that vDosXy3 could get a
fix (hopefully a small one) that would let
vDosXy3 use both , and CapsLock?

A few users would be very grateful.
