I'm about to leave town for vacation so I'm not able to answer this
question precisely (the question is "simple", but not the answer).
In short, I don't know. I suspect that the answer is that the color
cannot be changed within XyWrite (because the thesaurus is an
external program). However, I'll dodge the question by saying that
the best way I know of to change the colors in any DOS program is
the freeware program VGA Palette Tool (VPT), which is available at:
http://users.datarealm.com/ammaze/xfer/vgatool.zip. Highly recommended.

Yes, by adjusting the Correction Beep (CB) setting in SETTINGS.DFL.

df cb=x,y

As with other beeps, the x value refers to pitch, the y value to
duration. The legal range for each value is 0-65535. DF CB=0,0
disables the beep (my personal preference).

I'll be back on August 21st. Happy XyWriting til then!
