Charles,

You can run xy4 out of the box, without U2. Don't lose any sleep over
it. You can get the U2 extras up and running later if you deem them
necessary.

Full screen mode is fairly simple: try ALT ENTER, for starters (toggle
on-off). It may give you fuzzy fonts though. It may also give you an
awkward number of text lines so that a third or a quarter of the screen
is unused (black space at the bottom). This too can be tweaked in
STARTUP.INT (xy3 or 4). I can help you on tweaking that (off-list if you
wish).
