  I don't think the problem was really the interface, just all
the rote memorization of all the commands. Everybody else had
menus, while we had none until XYIII+ -- actually I had none
until Signature, since I never upgraded to 3plus. Didn't want all
those menus. Still don't.

  Of course, I was learning DOS at the same time -- I'd never
touched a computer before, in fact was a total computer-phobe.
Didn't have anyone to ask either -- I lived in the backwoods of
Minnesota, and only knew two other computer users -- one had an
Apple, the other a Tandy. The learning curve gave me a headache
like you wouldn't believe.
